The Community Schools Strategy

The Community Schools strategy transforms a school into a place where educators, local community members, families, and students work together to strengthen conditions for student learning and healthy development.  As partners, we organize in- and out-of-school resources, supports and opportunities so that young people thrive.  This resource is intended to unpack the essentials of community school transformation and show the activities community schools undertake as we move from the initial commitment to the strategy to full implementation. 

I encourage you all to reach out to me if and or when you have concerns.   If you, a neighbor or a family member needs support.   If you'd like to know how the community school council works together to transform the educational experiences of your child/children or you just want to share your story and help us understand more about your family.
